Who We Are – Our History
Mechanical Evaluation Technologies & Production Services Ltd. (M.E.T.) was officially registered on February 14th, 2013, originating in Point Fortin, Trinidad & Tobago. From the beginning, M.E.T. was built on a simple principle: technical reliability and ethical operations create long-term value for clients and communities. Over the years, the company steadily expanded its capabilities, supporting a wide range of industrial and field operations across the Southern Basin. Our reputation grew through consistent delivery, disciplined safety practices, and a leadership team committed to high standards.
As the industry evolved, so did M.E.T. In response to national energy demands and new development opportunities, the company refined its corporate structure, strengthened its technical expertise, and transitioned toward full oil exploration and production operations. Today, M.E.T. is preparing for the development of approximately 114 wells within the Fyzabad region, supported by strategic rig acquisitions and a robust operational plan that meets modern regulatory, safety, and financial criteria.
Guided by a forward-thinking board and a commitment to responsible resource development, M.E.T. continues to evolve toward becoming a fully integrated exploration, production, and field-services company—rooted in strong ethics, proven experience, and a long-standing presence in Trinidad & Tobago’s energy sector.
Our Mission
M.E.T. exists to support the Government of Trinidad & Tobago as its exclusive upstream operating partner for the redevelopment of mature onshore oil and gas assets. Our mission is to safely and efficiently restore production through disciplined engineering, responsible well management, and modern operational practices.
All hydrocarbons extracted by M.E.T. will be contractually repurchased by the Government, ensuring a stable national supply chain and a responsible, transparent revenue model. Through this partnership, M.E.T. is committed to delivering sustainable production growth while protecting the environment, developing local talent, and contributing to the nation’s long-term energy security.
